Had an absolutely amazing time! Since it was my first time in Europe, I used this trip to hit the highlights and figure out which countries I liked the most. Traveling in winter made it even better—snowy landscapes and Christmas markets were such a vibe.

Trips like this really depend on the tour leader and group, and luckily, both were awesome! Charlotte was super knowledgeable, kind and caring and made the experience even better by teaching us about the history of each place, and Pete (the driver) kept everything running smoothl. The speed at which we got to see each destination and how well everything was planned wouldn’t have been possible without booking a tour like this. Definitely a trip to remember and was the most fun I have had when travelling.

If you enjoy the cold & snow and haven’t explored Europe this is the trip for you!!
Our Trip Leader Charlotte and our Driver Peter were absolutely phenomenal!!
Sure, there are some places I wish we could have stayed longer in, but you need to remember it’s a tour-you are guided through areas so next time you plan a holiday you know exactly where you will want to go and spend more time. Our tour group was a solid bunch of peeps so all of the optional activities with them made it so much more fun and exciting too! Charlotte was SO incredibly helpful with history information on each location we visited, any tips and tricks on extra places to visit, where to find laundromats, how to purchase tram/train tickets and more. It was just the right amount of time too to see a lot and then be ready to come home. I would recommend booking a minimum of 2 nights before the trip to explore London first and then a night or 2 after the tour to collect yourself before flying home. I can’t recommend this tour enough. All the Christmas markets stayed up right through to the end, which we weren’t expecting at all but was amazing. The Swiss Apls, Prague and Amsterdam took my breath away. Lubljana in Slovenia takes the prize for THE BEST Christmas lights throughout the streets. Was absolutely gobsmacked in awe of the detail. There are so bus rides that are long - they have to be right, you’re travelling across Europe. But the Peter, Charlotte and our new besties made it so fun! You get plenty of sleep, vibe to beats, upload your photos on socials and get pit stops for bathroom breaks and pick out plenty of souvenirs, different drinks and snacks you’ve never seen before and continue on your way! Honestly the best holiday and I’m so grateful <3 :) just book the holiday! We walked in not sure what we were doing - booked it unsure exactly what to expect and my goodness was it SO worth it!!!! :D

Absolutely loved my top deck trip. I got to see places I wouldn’t have thought to book on my own and my trip leader Jimmy was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. I loved the optional extras - meaning we didn’t need to look for things to do in each place and got to know the group a little better - without the pressure to always be doing things with the group. All in all it was an amazing experience and one I would love to do again.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the places we stopped on this trip. The worst part was the 1 night stops, which were quite exhausting and it felt like we needed another night there. Accommodation was mostly nice, however it was generally out of town and would’ve been better if closer! The itinerary was fantastic though, and the day stops, especially Mauthausen was great.

If you want to cover a lot of ground in a short space of time, this is an excellent option. I used it as a 'taster' so that I could determine which places in Europe I would like to visit again and spend more time exploring.
At times, I felt that this tour was probably too quick. In some cities we wouldn't arrive until late afternoon (it gets dark at 4:30pm) and we would be off to our next destination early the next morning. This meant that we got to explore the hotel and some restaurants, but little of the city itself.
Most of the optional experiences were fun and very worthwhile, but I would probably avoid those that were purely food-based. They tended to be overpriced and took valuable time away from sightseeing. I would have instead preferred to grab some street food (very quick, cheap and delicious in most cities) and used the time to explore the city further and see more of the sights.

The tour was well organised and didn't feel too rushed. We visited all of the main attractions and had enough time to really get a feel for the countries and the culture.

I met some amazing people who I will have life long friendships with. It's the experience of a lifetime and I would recommend it to everyone!

Your website advises that the hotels are hand picked there were a few hotels at the start of the trip that were absolutely shitholes worst hotels ever, i am willing to bet who ever hand picked them never stayed in the rooms. You only need read the google review for most of the hotels to find out these got high ratings for location and 1 stars for customer service and rooms i would rather stay just a bit further up the road for a nicer hotel.

Further more when you pay extra to stay on your own you expect a double room for one person not a room with a single bed and no heater. you really need to change your website and stop misleading people into what you are offering.

I was so disappointed in the hotels i was asking my Travel agent to try and arrange alternative arrangements because i didnt want to stay on the tour, your extremely lucky that your Driver and Trip leader were fantastic otherwise i would have left the trip.

I really enjoyed the trip and the places we visited. I was surprised at the quality of the accommodation. For me though I would have liked to spend another day in some places so we had more time to go out on our own and experience a bit of culture without the group.

The day travelling to Rome was a bit long also, I would suggest making that an extra day there so it’s not so crammed.

Everything ran smoothly and as a I said previously the trip leader and driver were great! I loved the option of the optional activities and everyone I did I loved!

The only real recommendations I would have had was to spend 2 nights in Florence rather than Rome as I felt we really had limited time there and perhaps the day trip to Verona was a bit uneccesary as I would have preferred getting to the next destination quicker and using that time.

Rogan was always great at letting us know what we could do on our free days which was always helpful and allowed me to utilise each day! He also delivered his history talks in an engaging and informative way which made it interesting and not so dry.

Zoli was also a great driver, I never once felt unsafe on the bus and each day greeted everyone with a smile and easy to talk to and get along with!

Fabulous sights! A couple of hotels were a little run down but overall the sights and experiences were incredible. From the Palace of Versailles to the ruins of Rome and the the beautiful landscapes of Switzerland and Slovenia, every place we visited was amazing and full of adventure and history.

Loved every bit of the trip apart from the 3-4 ghastly hotels (dirty, rude staff, disorganised) which really tainted the stay in those places. I feel a company as large and experienced as Topdeck should have a better grasp on what is acceptable and not acceptable when it comes to the accommodation that they arrange. Apart from that it was pretty much faultless - our trip leader and driver were the best ever!!

As mentioned above - booking the tour at the time we did, over Christmas we thought it would be a bit more festive and were excited about spending Christmas in Europe. It really didn't feel like Christmas at all though. Christmas day was a driving day, lunch was at a servo, and the dinner we had to walk an hour for. After speaking with other people on the tour, we thought that it might have somewhat been Christmas themed but it really wasn't at all (eg. Christmas market tours etc.) That was the only disappointment regarding the actual tour.

The specific tour I chose was prefect for me and went everywhere I wanted to go. We got a lot of free time to do what we wanted in each country. Some of the activities could have been better eg the leather tutorial, the caves andI felt we could have made better use of the limited time we had.

-Bedbugs in Hotel Busby in Nice - several passengers bitten and multiple reports on Trip Advisor in the months prior. Why did Topdeck book this hotel?!

-Unprofessional tour operator - got heavily drunk thus requiring Topdeck customers to cut their party short and take her back to her room,

-Rip-off prices! For the expense involved in the hotel tour, we were given bottom-grade hotels and just about every tourist activity was an "optional". The only included activity included the bus tour and walking tour by the tour operator who barely knew the local history and culture herself

-A mix of bus travel and high-speed train would have allowed a more comfortable tour experience and more time touring. Something to consider, given that a lot of time is lost simply being on transit

Some hotels were of very poor quality. Some activities were missed out on that were inclusive of package so found that dissapointing paying for things didn’t get e.g cheese tasting and clog making. Good overview of countries, very fast pace.

I started on the tour knowing I'd enjoy it, but worried it might not be as fun as a tour I'd done a few years earlier with another tour company (Contiki).

My fears were allayed within the first couple of days - we made excellent friends on the first night, and even better, we were soon such good friends with our trip leader that it was like we'd known her for years. The hotels we stayed at were a whole 2 levels better than anything I had experienced on my earlier Contiki trip, and I loved the pace of this tour and the included and optional extras. It was excellent value for money, we felt eminently safe in the hands of our driver on our modern coach (with free wifi even!).

I could not say a single negative thing about the trip, the way we were treated by the company or our trip leader. We are about to catch up with friends we made on the trip again and I can imagine being lifelong friends with some of these people - not least our trip leader. If I could have rated this higher than 5 stars I would have!

Great trip leader, mostly good accommodation (boatel in Amsterdam was the only really disappointing one). The trip advertised 1 or 2 days in each city but it 1 day was barely half a day and 2 days was only really a day; would've been happier if this was advertised more truthfully so I didn't get my hopes up about how much time I had in each place. I liked the coach but wifi was advertised and didn't work the whole trip. The handouts we received were very handy and we always knew what to expect in each city prior to arriving, thanks to the staff. I liked having optionals; if possible, more should be made available.

The trip was everything we could have asked for. We saw all the big ticket things that we were wanting to see as well as being taken to some places we never would have thought to go and we fell in love with them instantly and now want to return (who would have thought that Slovenia was so beautiful?!?). Our guide and driver were incredibly knowledgeable and were always filled with suggestions and were a lot of fun. The tour made travelling through Europe so easy, we didn't have to worry about missing trains or not making flight connections and whilst some of the drive days were long, we saw some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. I highly recommend this trip!

The trip is best suited for younger people heading to Europe for the first time. It's a quick whirlwind tour, but sufficient to a good sense for where to head back to and spend more time in future. Tolerance for bus travel and being in a big group for three weeks is made easy by understanding and agreeing from the start, that making and having fun with new friends is also a key objective with this kind of travel.

This trip was a fantastic way to get an introductory feel for much of western, and some of eastern, Europe. Many participants tacked on before and after mini trips through Spain an/or Greece. To me, a future separate Eastern European trip would certainly include Greece and Turkey, so Spain and Portugal were most missed. But you are only spending only two, sometimes one night in these countries. Which such an itinerary, be careful not to use the word 'done' for any of them after passing through.

We had an extremely friendly and sociable bus driver who really helped boost the group atmosphere in his off-time. Our tour guide was extremely switched on with European history, with not only in depth country-by-country knowledge, but an ability to continually link back to the historical context of region. Combined with ample suggestions for places to check out during free time, and a very well planned and pertinent music playlist for the bus ride, it was a great way to learn the basics and polish up on our understanding of European history, geography, religious history, and culture.

The trip is well structured. After a hectic time in Paris, you take a breather in the stunningly beautiful Swiss Alps where you get the chance to really bond as a group. Then the rest of the trip feels like it's over all too quickly. But there are so many great moments. A year on I still have friends from the trip with whom I keep in touch, feel a lot more knowledgeable and have many amazing photos and memories. I would highly recommend it. Just know what you're getting yourself into, you don't always get everything your own way in a group tour. Most important is of course attitude: with a commitment to fun and adventure from the start you will have a blast.

Good bus driver and trip leader, lots of good sights, mostly iconic destinations with some good surprises. Appreciated that the bus drives were broken up with stop offs at interesting sites such as Lake Bled, these breaks made it feel like you were constantly seeing new things rather than in transit. Dining out at local restaurants also added to the overall immersion in the culture of the country.

Good paced tour. If you planned your days correctly you could see all the major sites of a city and still have time left over to explore some of the quitter corners of the cities. There was never a point where you got really sick of having to get back on the bus as it was all spaced nicely. This tour is an excellent way to see all the big ticket places in Europe in one tour so you can decide what countries you would like to return to and spend more time in.
